SRCS Committee on Culture, Equity and Belonging Application Available
Dear San Rafael City Schools Community,
In San Rafael City Schools, we are committed to creating a more inclusive and supportive culture for all students. To help us, we are increasing our engagement with our community to identify opportunities for how we can improve our approach to creating more equitable and inclusive environments in our schools. We’re convening a District-wide committee - SRCS Committee on Culture, Equity and Belonging - to help continue these efforts.
We hope to bring together a representative group from the SRCS community, including students, parents, guardians, caregivers, teachers, staff and community members to participate in discussions and identify ways to foster welcoming environments for all students. You are encouraged to apply - your input is not just important, it's paramount to serving our students better. We are ideally looking for:
Parents / Guardians and Students
One parent representative for each of our elementary schools
One middle school family pair for each middle school. A pair with a middle school student and parent is preferred.
One high school student representative for each high school
One high school parent representative for each high school
Teachers and Staff
Two elementary school teacher or staff representatives
Two middle school teacher or staff representatives
Two high school school teacher or staff representatives
